This is the 9th part in a 9 part series on building your marketing plan.
A marketing plan is just a plan. And a plan is only good until the first contact. Be ready to make adjustments. Be prepared to change strategy or markets or maybe even products based on what the market is telling you. Sometimes your goals change, or a competitor closes their doors, or a new competitor opens theirs. Don't view your plan as set in stone.
There are times the response is not what you hoped. Going back to the drawing board; testing ideas, headlines, photos and reading response rates from various attempts is necessary to find the right combination.
The great thing about marketing today is it is really easy to pivot. It is really easy to test ideas and markets and strategies. Depending on the type of marketing you are doing, it is also easier than ever to view your results and returns.
